:bulletblack:Place of Birth: Svartalfheim
:bulletblack:Background: Born in Svartalfheim many years preceding the 'Great War' to Malekith, the ruler of their people, and his wife. Decades passed as the war grew closer and closer to their homeland, however her mother had taken precautions in having hibernation pods prepared to send her children away before the war reached Svartalfheim. Her mother placed her brothers and sisters in their pods, bound for the other realms and had them sent off soon after, however Bryn did not go into her pod until the war was much closer to home. She tried in vain to spend as much time with her father as she could, for unbeknownst to him he would never see his daughter again she reasoned, however he was cold and preoccupied with the war planning so she resigned to the fact that she would go into hibernation very soon. And so she was, her mother put her under the effects, tucking a few precious items, instructions for when she awoke and a book containing all the information about herself and her family and sent her pod to the most unlikely of places. Asgard, the home of the enemy.
There Bryn stayed in full hibernation and oblivious to the world's happenings, eventually the chamber was found by the Asgardians and placed in the hall where they kept treasures and weapons, since the pod would not open despite their best efforts. She stayed in the chamber of the pod for thousands of years, her natural already slow aging process reduced to an even slower pace, leaving her young as the child she was when she had entered for many hundreds of years. Eventually she grew to an age where the pod was strained to contain her any longer and when it deemed it safe for her to leave it's safety it allowed her to come out of hibernation. She was released into the weapons vault, however before she had awoken the pod had enacted a spell left by her mother that had awaited the time she was gone from the pod. As she looked down at her hands, expecting to see pale flesh she saw toned skin, her hair had turned to a burnished red and brown and her eyes no longer blue but amber in color. On the transcript that had occupied the chamber with her for so many years her mother explained the illusion cast over her that would last her several years before depleting and leaving her exposed to the Asgardians. In her mother's letter it repeatedly stated that she must learn magic to restore her illusion once it faded for if the Asgardians found her true nature, that of a Dark Elf, they would certainly kill her. Bryn took the belongings left to her from the chamber (A necklace with her father's crest on it, a circlet belonging to her mother on her wedding day, a dagger also belonging to her father, the book detailing her family and their people and finally a small sketch that had been done of their family years prior to the war) and slipped from the hall during the changing guard shifts.
She lived among the poor of Asgard, for not everyone is wealthy in the glimmering city of gold, she was a beggar, torn clothes and haggard appearance. Despite her many years and difficult lifestyle, the lingering effect of the hibernation kept her appearance to be young and tender, appearing as that of one no older than her early adolescence.
As luck would have it however she was taken in by a couple incapable of conceiving their own child. She loved them as she would her own parents, however they never know the truth beneath her Asgardian disguise, they treated her well. Although they were not exceedlingly wealthy, they were happy and comfortable, and her adoptive father had a high ranking job as a guardsmen in the palace. She spent most of her time with him, following him at work as she had nothing better to do and she loved seeing the palace's grandeur whenever she could. Eventually her adoptive father began to train her to protect herself should she ever require it, she learned to defend herself properly but to his dismay she was more interested in magic than swordplay. As her adoptive father eventually rose in the ranks to being one of the head guardsmen they moved to the palace grounds to be closer to his work, she now spent most of her time in the archery ranges and practicing her magic in the library over the leaflets of dark faerie magic left in the book sent with her.
Eventually she aged and matured, teaching herself enough skills to become of use to Asgard rather than living off her adoptive parents who had already given her so much. She found work in the library, tasked to sweep the mounds of dust from the bookshelves and clean the stained glass murals. However rather than working she often found herself searching for books with the mention of her people, as much as Asgard had provided for her she still felt resentment towards the realm and it's inhabitants and more often than not their books portrayed her people as the ones at fault for the war. It was during one of her days spent at the library that she met the Sons of Odin for the first time, however it was also the last time she ever saw Thor step foot in the library again, unless forced to appear by some authority. Although she rarely saw the eldest son, Loki frequently visited the library to read and study and in turn she came to spend more and more time with him. She came to trust him and they both developed feelings for each other, and slowly became romantically involved.
Despite her and Loki's romantic involvement it remained that only she knew of her true heritage, however she feared discovery often. For after the original cloaking spell cast upon her dissolved she was forced to bear the burden of keeping the illusion over her true self, no easy task as it often required much of her energy, and one she could not let slip in the presence of others. She weathered Loki's many trials and errors along his road for redemption and recognition and stood by him ,though in varying degrees of proximity, however she never did try to excuse his actions and knew that he would always pay for his schemes. It was not some years after Loki found out about his true heritage that he told her, the news was a great relief to her, however how could she tell him of her heritage, that of a Dark Elf, one of the most scorned creatures in the Nine Realms. She kept the secret from him for as long as she could manage, however keeping secrets from the Liesmith was no easy feat. Eventually she came to tell him, in the midst of one of his rantings about his own Jotunn blood and the lies the All-Father had raised him to believe, he watched her wordlessly as she showed him her true form and told him of her true name, Isilven, and her heritage and how she had come to reside in Asgard. She stressed the importance of the secrecy of the matter and he agreed not to divulge it, still taken aback by her confession, eventually though he came to accept it and through it came to accept his heritage a small portion more.
:bulletblack:Personality: Bryn is usually calm, reserved, and unassuming from an outsider's perspective, however she always thinks of how to best protect herself. She will do whatever is necessary to ensure her and her loved one's safety, using her appearance, poison, or magic typically to get what she needs. Despite this however she is not characterized as being malicious, only defensive. She is also a touch prideful, yet she knows her limits and who not to anger or cross. She is not quick to anger and has a high tolerance for others faults, however she worries about the Asgardians learning of her true nature, she also fears being labeled as a killer, monster, or accursed for what she is. She fears rejection and guards herself against it the best she can. Despite her past she has a gentler side and wishes to preserve life rather than see it destroyed if she can help it, however she knows that death in war or defense is necessary.
:bulletblack:Other Information:
        X
She was the first born to Malekith and his wife, she is also the only one who survived being sent from their home land
X She is very skilled at archery and making poison, while her magic is strong ,it is not as advanced as Loki's by any means, but is differnt from typical Asgardian magic as it is a mix of Dark Elf and Asgardian teachings for magic
X When she hears that her father is indeed alive she tries to reconnect with him but is never able to make contact with him, despite her many failed efforts she continues to try
X Isilven is her birth name, given by Malekith and her mother, while Bryn is a name that her mother added before hibernation so she would fit into Asgard better
X The only person to call her by her true name is her father and Loki (although this is very rare and only on special occasions)
X Eventually Loki helped her enchant some of her jewelry (her green earrings) to help her keep the illusion up without expending so much energy
X Bryn has eventually become resigned to the fact that Loki will always get into trouble, despite this however she usually stands by him when he does and defends him the best she can (This is true unless it is something horrendous that she wont forgive and she will ignore him for a time but eventually comes around)
